These Terms and Conditions of Trading (‘Agreement’) apply to all online sales between The London Throw Company Limited and the Customer (‘you/your’) in relation to all sales of goods and services.

Payment

Payments are processed via Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.   We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Visa Debit and Maestro and all data is encrypted. 

Placing an order

By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate. Please see our 

Receipt of order confirmation

You will receive an order receipt confirmation email as soon as you have placed an order. Please keep it in a safe place as we may ask you for information from it in any correspondence.  If you do not receive this email please contact info@londonthrowcompany.com so that we can confirm that your order has been placed successfully.

Tax Charges

All prices quoted on this website are inclusive of UK taxes (VAT) at the current rate (20%). Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.

Product description

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the products. 

We work hard to ensure product information and colours are accurate. However due to the limitations of the photographic process, goods may not be exactly the same colour as shown.  

We cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products.

Product size and colour - 

Please note that many of our throws have been hand woven on looms by local artisans and may carry small anomalies in the weave that add to their authenticity and character. For the same reason the size may vary very slightly.

Stock availability

We aim to show as accurate a snapshot of all currently available stock as we can. However we showcase our throws at many events (especially close to Christmas) so on occasion an item may be out of stock. If it this is the case we will contact you with 24hrs of placing your order and can arrange an alternative or a refund. 

Shipping to a different delivery address

We are pleased to arrange delivery of your order to an address that is different to your credit or debit card billing address but, if you have not purchased from us before, we will need to contact you before we process your order to verify that your credit or debit card is not being used fraudulently.

Delivery times and charges

Deliveries to mainland UK are sent via Standard UK Royal mail, second class signed for delivery £5.95, 2-5 days. Please note that a signature is required for this service. If you or someone at the address is unable to sign for the package it will be taken to the nearest Post Office for collection.

We will do everything we can to dispatch your parcel on the day of your order. During busy times, especially when we have sales and promotions, your order may take a few extra days to arrive.

We can deliver to most international destinations but please contact us first so we can calculate an accurate shipping cost. We will then take payment over the phone. 

Title and Risk

We retain ownership of any products ordered until we have received full payment for such products.

Returns policy

We want you to be delighted with your purchase, but if you find it is unsuitable or you are not entirely satisfied please notify us within 14 daysby email (info@londonthrowcompany.com) of your intention to return the product to us.  We ask that you return products to us unused and in their original packaging. We will refund the cost of the product (less any discounts) but will be unable to refund the cost of the original postage.

We require you to be responsible for the cost of returning an item to us where you have changed your mind. We are unable to accept the loss of items sent by post, as such recommend you ask for proof of postage when sending the item back to us.  Upon receipt of your returned item we will notify you and arrange for the refund to be paid back to you on the card you paid with. Please note it can take the banks between 3 and 10 days to allocate the returned funds and is outside of our control.

Cancellation

You are entitled to cancel your contract if you wish providing you act within 7 working days of receipt of the goods.

We take the security of our customers information very seriously. All credit card data is automatically encrypted and is held in the highest level of security.  All customer contact details are password protected and held securely.

Your privacy is important to us. We only use the information we collect about you carefully, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Information we use

We use the information we hold on your records for operational purposes, for example processing your order, dealing with queries, tracking deliveries, reviewing past purchases.

Your order history enables us to tailor our product range and marketing information (e.g. promotions and special offers) to your requirements.

We also use the information to keep you up to date with new products by mailing new catalogues and sending emails as appropriate. However we aim to make these useful and timely and endeavour not to overload your in-box.

Applicable Law

We own, control and operate the web site from our offices within England. Accordingly the laws of England & Wales govern claims relating to, including the use of the web site and the materials contained therein
